ACEL Energy Projects
ACEL Energy takes great pride in our portfolio to date that have allowed us to make meaningful contributions to a wide spectrum of innovative and exciting projects, spanning a mix of industries and sectors. We are passionate about engaging with like-minded partners and are committed to excellence and achieving meaningful outcomes.
Currently, we are actively engaged in numerous ongoing projects and alongside these, we have other exciting initiatives that are approaching completion.
We are delighted to share our contributions to the following projects, which represent milestones in our journey towards a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
Cornacrieve Mushrooms, Emyvale,
Co Monaghan.
ACEL Energy this week announced the launch of one of Ireland’s largest C&I Battery Energy Storage Solutions (BESS), seamlessly integrated with on-site solar PV that enables businesses to generate energy on-site, store the energy and use it in times of high demands or peak rates.
BESS allows the client to store low-cost solar energy and discharge it when the cost of electricity is expensive. In doing so, it allows businesses to avoid higher tariff charges, reduce operational costs and save on their electricity bills.
Our client was in a situation whereby their business was generating solar energy on-site but they were unable to store it. This meant they had to use it or lose it. Our client wanted to become less dependent on the grid and wanted to be able to store excess energy on-site.
This Battery storage solution can improve the reliability, availability, and efficiency of the power supply by enabling the client to charge at optimal times throughout a 24hour period thus reducing reliance on the grid import during peak times.
Enterprising Monaghan, M:TEK2,
Monaghan
The latest successful project from ACEL Energy is the completion of a roof-top solar PV system for Enterprising Monaghan at the M:TEK 2 in Monaghan . The system, with a capacity of almost 70 kWp, will provide the facility with clean energy during the day, saving tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
Enterprising Monaghan is a non-profit, community-based organisation promoting commerce and enterprise in Monaghan. They offer support in the provision of hot desks, co-working spaces, and high-spec, affordable business premises.
With the introduction of solar PV into their energy mix, Enterprising Monaghan will benefit from significant electricity cost savings and, in turn, reduce their carbon footprint.
Thanks to all at Enterprising Monaghan for their support throughout this project and to the ACEL Energy team for another successful installation!
Kingspan Water & Energy, Glenamaddy,
Co. Galway
ACEL Energy is thrilled to announce the successful completion of our latest project: the installation of a cutting-edge 113kWp solar PV system for Kingspan Water & Energy at their facility in Glenamaddy, County Galway.
This initiative is aligned with Kingspan’s global sustainability strategy, Planet Passionate, a global, ten-year sustainability strategy that addresses the impact of their business operations and manufacturing in four key areas: energy, carbon, circularity, and water.
Featuring a total of 275 panels, the newly installed solar PV system is poised to generate a substantial amount of clean, renewable energy. This not only aids Kingspan in reducing their carbon footprint but also propels them towards achieving their ambitious sustainability targets.
Teagasc Oak Park,
Co Carlow
ACEL Energy are pleased to announce the completion of a roof-top solar photovoltaic system with a capacity of 170kWp at Teagasc , Oak Park, Co Carlow. The system provides the facility with clean energy during the day, saving tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities.
With the introduction of solar PV into their energy mix, Teagasc will benefit from significant electricity cost savings and in turn reduce their carbon footprint.
Thanks to all the team at Teagasc for their support throughout this project and to the ACEL Energy team on another successful installation!
