Silver Prize Awarded at Stelios Foundation North–South Business Cooperation Awards
ACEL Energy has been awarded the Silver Prize at the inaugural Stelios Foundation North-South Business Cooperation Awards, held recently at Castle Leslie Estate, Glaslough.
The awards were established by entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou to recognise and support companies that are actively building commercial relationships and strengthening economic links across the island of Ireland. The initiative forms part of the wider work of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, which promotes enterprise and education while supporting charitable causes throughout Europe.
Businesses from a broad mix of sectors were shortlisted for this year’s programme, reflecting the diversity of cross-border cooperation currently taking place. The afternoon included a presentation from Sir Stelios who emphasised the importance of collaboration and the shared economic benefit of same.
Over the past year, ACEL has delivered renewable energy projects across logistics, manufacturing, retail and food production. These include multi-site rooftop installations, ground-mount projects and Battery Energy Storage systems. Along with this Operations and maintenance services continue to expand across several Northern Ireland installations.
Reflecting on the achievement, Co-Founder Barry Sherry said:
